Dumfries Peter Pan house secures Heritage Lottery Fund boost

A trust working to restore the house which helped to inspire JM Barrie to write Peter Pan has secured a second major funding boost in a week.

The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust has been awarded nearly £220,000 towards plans to develop a national centre for children's literature in Dumfries.

The Heritage Lottery Fund grant follows a £45,000 award from Creative Scotland.

It will allow the PPMBT to determine the future design and content of plans to restore Moat Brae House and Garden.
