Brunta Hill wind farm plans submitted

Scaled-down plans for a wind farm in Berwickshire have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council.

PNE Wind UK Ltd originally planned 10 turbines on land at Brunta Hill, near Westruther.

However, it has now reduced the number to eight and also cut the height of the proposed turbines.

The company said it believed it had reduced the environmental impact of the scheme and was confident it was more in keeping with the landscape.

A decision will be given on the proposals by the council at a later date.
