The rail line between Glasgow and Carlisle via Dumfries has been reopened at Kirkconnel after flooding.

The area has been affected by heavy rain with a Met Office yellow "be aware" warning in place until 14:00.

Services between Glasgow Central and Carlisle via Dumfries were said to be returning to normal by early afternoon.

However, Scotrail said some could still be subject to cancellation or delay with some disruption likely until 15:00.
