The celebration in Galashiels dates back more than 90 years

The weather was mostly kind to the annual Braw Lads Gathering in Galashiels this year.

It was the latest of the Scottish Borders towns to stage its traditional summer celebrations at the weekend.

Big crowds turned out to support and watch the event which was established in 1930.

Galashiels is one of a number of towns to hold such festivities through the summer to mark out their historic boundaries.
