Temperatures have dipped across Scotland with icy scenes in the likes of Newtonhill near Aberdeen
Temperatures dipped to -8C (18F) in Scotland overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday with a cold snap set to continue.
Snow and ice warnings are in place along the east coast for much of the week.
It has produced scenes of frozen landscapes throughout Scotland as winter begins to bite.
