Woman, 80, dies in lorry crash in Scottish Borders

An 80-year-old woman has died in a crash between a car and a lorry in the Scottish Borders.
The woman was driving a grey Vauxhall Viva on the A1 near the village of Burnmouth at about 09:15 when the collision with the HGV happened.
Emergency services attended the incident but the woman died at the scene. The driver of the lorry was not injured.
Police Scotland said the road was closed and reopened at about 14:45.
Sgt Colin Morrison said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who died at this time."
The force has asked for anyone who saw the vehicles before the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch, external.
