A driver killed in a crash involving three articulated lorries on the A9 in Perthshire on Thursday has been named by police.
Gordon Cooper, 57, from Montrose, was driving a McKays of Montrose lorry south when the collision happened north of Dunkeld, near Jubilee Bridge.
A 23-year-old man driving an empty tanker also suffered serious leg injuries in crash at about 0520 GMT.
The section of road reopened 14 hours after the early morning crash.
Two HGVs collided head-on before a third ploughed into the back of them.
The scene was discovered by an ambulance transporting a patient to Perth. Emergency services found one man dead and another trapped in his cab.
In a statement released through Tayside Police, Rosemary Cooper, the wife of the lorry driver who was killed, said: "Gordon was a much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
"His untimely death has left a huge hole in our lives and that of his many friends.
"We would ask for privacy at this devastating time to come to terms with our loss, especially given the time of year."
