Job hopes for Dundee Michelin tyre factory

Tyre company Michelin has said it is looking to invest in its Dundee factory, safeguarding current jobs and creating more posts.
Michelin Group said it was considering installing new production machinery at the Baldovie Road plant.
The machinery would enable the factory to produce the latest generation of car tyres, the company said.
About 140 new jobs could be created to "keep pace" with growing demand over the next 18 months.
A quarter of the posts are likely to be in engineering.
Michelin said it had been working with the Scottish government on the future of its Dundee plant over the past year.
The factory opened in 1972 and currently employs about 750 people.
John Reid, the Dundee factory manager said: "This is excellent news for everyone at Michelin Dundee and for the local community.
"I am really optimistic about the future and I am confident that our employees will continue to deliver first-class results to show that the group's confidence in us is justified".
