Two teenagers have appeared in court on charges of attempting to incite riots in Dundee via Facebook.
Jordan McGinley, 18, and Shawn Divin, 16, both from the city, appeared on petition at Dundee Sheriff Court.
They were both charged with breach of the peace. Neither made any plea or declaration.
Their case was committed for further examination and the pair were remanded until their next appearance, which is expected within eight days.
A 14-year-old boy who has been accused of acting with them will appear at a later date.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with comments made on a social networking site alleged to have incited people to riot in Kirkcaldy.
It comes almost a week after rioting broke out in England, starting in areas of London and spreading to other cities.
