Police have made renewed requests for help tracing a man who has been missing near Stirling since Saturday evening.

Tom Robb, 74, was reported missing about 19:00 when he failed to return home to his farm in the Carron Valley.

Mr Robb was described as 5ft 10in, of medium build, with balding grey hair. He was wearing a two-tone grey jumper and blue trousers.

Insp Charlie Mitchell said he was "growing increasingly concerned" as the weather had deteriorated.

He said Mr Robb was not properly dressed for the cold and wet.

He said: "Tom is well known in the Carron Valley area and we have a lot of local people with knowledge of the area and terrain helping us search for him."

It is believed that the last confirmed sighting of Mr Robb was about 16:30 on Saturday at Duncarron Fort in the Carron Valley, where a music festival was being held.

He was also seen a short time earlier by a group of walkers in the Meikle Bin area.
