Plans for one of the largest solar farms to be created in Scotland are going on public display in Perthshire.

Bristol-based firm Elgin Energy want to cover a 100-acre site at Carse of Gowrie on the Errol estate with 70,000 solar panels.

The company said the project could power more than 5,000 homes if given the go ahead.

The plans will be on public display at West Carse Public Hall, Main Street, Glencarse from 16:30-1900 on Wednesday.

Elgin Energy has yet to launch a planning application for the solar farm with Perth and Kinross Council.
