A man convicted of possessing child abuse images has been jailed for 33 months after breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (Sopo).
Gordon Simpson claimed he downloaded the material because his weight had made him "socially isolated".
A court heard he breached the order by having banned devices which he used to order sex toys on the internet.
He also failed to carry out a community payback order to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
Simpson, 26, of New Alyth, Perthshire, was given the Sopo and community payback order last year after admitting two charges relating to downloading child abuse material between 15 April 2011 and 21 November 2012.
The court previously heard that Simpson was caught with the abuse material on his phone and laptop computers.
About 2,000 images of abuse were recovered from the devices by police.
Simpson initially tried to blame friends for downloading the material and claimed his weight had lowered his self-image and made him socially isolated.
In addition to the prison sentence, Sheriff Gillian Wade imposed a two-year extended sentence following Simpson's release and placed him on the sex offenders register for life.
