Dundee, Stirling and Clackmannanshire set council tax rates

Councillors in Dundee and Clackmannanshire have approved council tax rises.

Councillors in Stirling voted to freeze the basic rate of council tax for another year.

Clackmannanshire councillors approved a 3% council tax rise during a budget meeting that saw the Labour administration resign.

The council tax will rise by 2.5% in Dundee, an increase of £30 a year for a Band D property.

Stirling residents whose homes are in property bands E, F, G or H will still see their bills rise as a result of national changes.

Perth and Kinross councillors voted for a 2% rise on Thursday.

The council tax will rise by 3% in Falkirk, an increase of £32 a year for a Band D property, following another vote on Thursday.
