The SNP is the new ruling administration at Clackmannanshire Council following the resignation of the Labour group in February.

New council leader Les Sharp said "normal business is now resumed" after the new administration was formed.

SNP councillor Gary Womersley was elected as Provost last month.

The Labour administration stepped down during a budget meeting which saw councillors approve a 3% council tax rise.

Mr Sharp said: "The SNP will take our ambitious plans forward commencing with a balanced budget for the council in the very near future."

Labour took over control of the council in May last year after the then SNP administration stepped down.
