Woman biker dies after A9 crash with Ross County fans bus

A woman has died after a motorcycle and a coach carrying Ross County football fans collided on the A9 in Perthshire.

The victim was a pillion passenger on the bike which crashed near Kindallachan, between Ballinluig and Dunkeld, at about 11:10.

The male rider of the bike was also injured and taken to hospital.

Ross County FC posted a message on social media saying no fans were injured.

The A9 remained closed in both directions for nearly seven hours on Saturday afternoon but has now reopened.

A diversion was in place but it was not suitable for heavy vehicles, and motorists faced long delays.

Earlier the A93 was closed for several hours after a car and a motorbike crashed near the turn-off to Perth racecourse.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital but there was no further information on their condition

The A93 has now reopened.
