Prisoner who absconded from HMP Castle Huntly found

Sean McGovern was reported missing from HMP Castle Huntly on Sunday night

A prisoner who absconded from HMP Castle Huntly has been found and returned to jail, police have said.

Sean McGovern was reported missing from the open prison in Longforgan, near Dundee, at about 22:00 on 11 June.

Members of the public were warned not to approach him.

Police Scotland said he is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
