Police name woman who died after being hit by car

Police have named a 65-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car in Stirling on Sunday.

Helen Sinclair, from Stirling, was struck by the Volkswagen Tiguan near Blackgrange Roundabout on the A907 Alloa Road at about 18:45.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, her family said they were devastated at her death and expressed thanks to everyone who helped at the scene along with those who sent messages and offered support.

Insp Andrew Thomson renewed a police appeal for information, external about the incident.

"I'd like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far," he said. "I'm still keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, has any information about what happened or anyone with dashcam footage of the area around the time. Please contact us as soon as possible."
