A 10-year-old Dundee fan hit by a flare during a match said his confidence had been boosted by a special day-out hosted by the club.
Levi Rennie was injured after the flare was set off in the away section during Dundee's match with St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Saturday.
Levi was invited to train with the team and meet the players on Wednesday.
Dundee manager Tony Docherty said Levi was "a brilliant kid" and that there was no place for flares in stadiums.
Levi, from Tayport in Fife, was given a tour of the dressing room by club captain Joe Shaughnessy, before having lunch with the players and watching the team's press conference.
The school boy was treated in hospital at the weekend after the flare missed his eye by millimetres, burning the youngster's cheek.
He faces a wait of more than a year to see if he requires a skin graft.
Levi said: "It's been amazing today.
"Obviously, it's not been the best going to hospital, but from being down here a bit, it's brought me back up and put my confidence right back up."
Levi's mum Sherree said: "He got to watch the team train and all the players came and spoke to him.
"They've made him feel really welcome and checked in on him.
"They've really gone out to make him feel welcome, so it's been great."
Police Scotland said a 15-year-old boy had been charged in connection with the flare incident.
A further four people aged 13, 15, and two aged 17, were also arrested over pyrotechnics at the game.
Dundee FC manager Tony Docherty said: "For football fans in general, I don't think there's a place for it.
"Unfortunately, you see the product of that, but what a brilliant kid we've got in today in the building with us.
"The message for me, is that they (pyrotechnics) don't belong in stadiums."
