Police probe 'unexplained' Union Canal death near Falkirk

A man's body has been found in the Union Canal near Falkirk.
Police were alerted to the discovery near Union Road in the Camelon area at about 11:30.
Emergency services were called and part of a nearby walkway was shut off. The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Officers are treating the death as unexplained and inquiries remain at an early stage, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
