Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for a 24-year-old Powys woman whose car was found following a search.

Alice Rachael Vulliamy, from the Brecon area, was reported missing shortly after 0900 GMT on Sunday.

A search involving police, fire and mountain rescue teams later found her locked car near Christ College, near Brecon.

Ms Vulliamy's family said her behaviour was out of character.

Dyfed-Powys Police described her as white, 5ft 3ins tall with mousy brown, shoulder length hair. Ms Vulliamy is of slim build and also wears glasses, but they were found in her car.

Police said Ms Vulliamy was last seen at a friend's house last Saturday at around 2000 GMT.

Her dark blue Ford Ka was later found parked near Christ College, Brecon, on Sunday, and police are searching the area.

Ms Vulliamy's family said she had not been reported missing before and her behaviour was totally out of character.
