BBC Radio Wales improves FM coverage in south east

Coverage improves across the south east for Radio Wales programmes such as Jamie and Louise
BBC Radio Wales has become available in thousands more homes in the south of the country.
The station has switched to a more powerful transmitter.
It means people in Bridgend county, the Vale of Glamorgan and the Gwent valleys will be able to hear the station on FM for the first time.
The switch is part of a strategy to improve coverage of the station across the whole of Wales.
The transmitter, which is located between Barry and Cardiff in Wenvoe, is also being used by BBC Radio Cymru and the BBC's national radio stations.
Gareth Lewis, who has recently taken his place at the helm of drivetime news programme Good Evening Wales, visited the transmitter to check all was in order for the switchover.
"I'm from Bridgend, so I'm delighted that people in the area will be able to get a much clearer FM signal on 103.9, and I hope people who may not have found the station yet will tune in to see what it's all about," he said.
