Doctor Who convention attracts fans to Cardiff
About 3,000 fans descended on Cardiff for a Doctor Who Convention. Here one keen follower of the Time Lord meets a Silurian.
Young fans came dressed for the occasion in some Whovian garb - in this case, three Matt Smiths, a David Tennant and a Tardis
Fans had a choice of two timetables, one focusing on the Silurians and the other on the Ood. Here an Ood helps muster some of the visitors.
The costume and prop display allowed fans, some dressed as their favourite characters, to meet some of the monsters up close.
People paid up to £99 for one of the 1,500 tickets available at the event whose schedule was packed with the chance to meet members of the cast, crew and aliens.
Matt Smith offers the audience a plate of the Doctor's favourite intergalactic food - Jammie Dodger biscuits
While Matt Smith may not have been in costume, this young fan impersonates his favourite Doctor
