National Secular Society's call over NHS faith care funding

Figures obtained by the National Secular Society suggest the NHS in Wales spends £1.3m on providing religious and spiritual care to patients and staff.

The care could range from parents requiring a christening for their seriously ill children, to nurses or doctors seeking someone impartial to talk to.

Members of the society believe this could be funded through a charitable trust and the NHS money could be used to pay for doctors, nurses and life-saving drugs.
