Catherine Gowing: Clive Sharp remanded on missing vet murder

Catherine Gowing was last seen on Friday, and police are still looking for her
A man has been remanded in custody, charged with murdering Catherine Gowing, a vet who has been missing for more than a week.
Clive Sharp, 46, originally from Bethesda, Gwynedd, appeared before Mold magistrates on Saturday.
Irish-born Miss Gowing, from New Brighton, Flintshire, has not been seen since a sighting at a supermarket last Friday.
Mr Sharp was remanded to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on Tuesday.
The defendant, dressed in a blue top and dark trousers, said nothing during the one minute hearing apart from confirming his name and age.

There was no application for bail.
Miss Gowing was last seen leaving an Asda supermarket at Queensferry, Flintshire, on 12 October.
It is alleged Mr Sharp murdered her in a period up to 17 October.
On Friday, North Wales Police confirmed a burnt out car found close to a disused quarry near her home was hers.
Divers and police also searched a pool in the quarry on Saturday.
Miss Gowing is originally from County Offaly in the Republic of Ireland.
Det Ins Iestyn Davies later read a statement on her family's behalf which said: "Our primary concern and objective is to find Catherine.
"The support that we have received from the police, the public and all Catherine's friends is keeping us going and will continue to do so. We will bring Catherine home."
Police have appealed for anyone who was in and around the area of the disused quarry in Pinfold Lane in Alltami at any time last weekend to come forward.
