Mary John, 70, from Bonymaen, was among the throngs braving the cold weather to see the team. She said: "I didn't manage to get a ticket to the match but my family went. This is the next best thing and winning is the best thing that's happened to Swansea in years."

Young and old joined the crowd - and even four-legged supporter Zowie the dog, whose owner James Williams dressed her in his football shirt. "It's just a big occasion and the top doesn't fit me very well," he added.
