Snowdonia climber breaks leg in Glyder Fach snow slide

The man was injured on Glyder Fach, Snowdonia

A climber has suffered a broken leg after he slid about 300ft (90m) on snow and ice and hit a rock in Snowdonia.

The man, 26, was airlifted to hospital in Bangor by an RAF Valley helicopter after being injured on Glyder Fach.

In a separate incident on Sunday the Sea King flew to Aber Falls, near Bangor, where a woman was hurt in a 60ft fall and also taken to Bangor.

Later, a walker with hypothermia was rescued from Snowdon.

The 67-year-old man was winched from steep ground by the rescue helicopter and flown to hospital.
