Swansea: One hurt in fire engine-car crash in New Cut Road

One person has been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision involving a fire engine and a car in Swansea.

The Welsh Ambulance Service's central and west division said a male patient was taken to Morriston Hospital after the incident in New Cut Road.

Police said the man, thought to be the car driver, suffered "minor injuries".

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the incident would be investigated.

South Wales Police said officers were called to the A483 in Swansea at 10:42 BST on Sunday.

A spokeswoman said there was "superficial" damage to the fire engine.
