Festivalgoers ignore the rain as they enjoy the atmosphere of Festival No.6 in Portmeirion

The Italianate village of Portmeirion in Gwynedd is staging its second Festival No.6, named after the famous 1960s cult TV series "The Prisoner" which was filmed in the village

The award winning three-day festival offers a rich mix of entertainment with music, art and performances ranging from poetry to pop and classical music

The village comes alive with venues such as the town hall, piazza and Stone Boat hosting events

In its first year around 6,500 attended the festival but around 10,000 were expected this time. There was some minor disruption caused by the rain on Sunday but organisers said no acts were cancelled.

Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles perform in every available space. Acts taking part included James Blake, Johnny Marr and My Bloody Valentine.

The organisers say they have worked hard to ensure that the fantasy village is not just a picturesque backdrop but comes alive with its unusual live venues
