Rebecca Jones, 30, pleaded guilty to nine counts of wilful neglect

A nurse has admitted falsifying patient notes showing blood sugar levels at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend.

Rebecca Jones, 30, pleaded guilty to nine counts of wilful neglect at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between September 2012 and January 2013 on a specialist ward dealing with stroke patients.

A total of 14 members of staff have been suspended at the hospital while police investigate.

One other nurse has been suspended from Swansea's Morriston Hospital.

Jones will be sentenced in October.
