Ashley Talbot tributes: 'The gap can never be filled'

Tributes have been paid to a 15-year-old pupil who died after being struck by a minibus at his school.

Classmates described Ashley Talbot's "bubbly" and "infectious" personality and said he left a gap that could never be filled.

He was hit by the minibus, which was on its way to a rugby game on Wednesday afternoon.

South Wales Police officers were at Maesteg Comprehensive School to speak to witnesses before lessons began.

Director of education for Bridgend council Deborah McMillan said pupils were being offered support, while chairman of governors Keith Edwards read out a tribute from Ashley's classmates.
