300,000 properties in Wales now have superfast broadband

Almost 300,000 properties in Wales now have access to superfast broadband, new figures reveal.

Across the UK, four out of five properties now have the faster download speed with two million more homes and businesses now connected.

The UK government said work would now begin to tackle the final 5% of hard to reach areas.

Wales Office minister Alun Cairns said: "It is no wonder south Wales is one of the fastest growing tech clusters."
