Wales rugby player Alex Cuthbert will be spoken to about an incident in which he appears to throw away a mobile phone belonging to a member of the public.

The incident involving the Cardiff Blues wing took place in December and has now come to light after appearing on social media.

In a video, external Mr Cuthbert can be seen throwing the phone down the street and being confronted by its owner.

Assistant Wales coach Rob Howley said management would speak with the winger.

He said: "We're aware of the video and all our players are reminded of their conduct in public.

"It happened back in December and he wasn't on Wales duty.

"It's a constant reminder to us all - and we are going to speak to Alex about that incident."
