Man dies following crash at Caerwys, Flintshire

A man has died following a road traffic collision in Flintshire during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident happened at around 00:46 BST on the B5122 at Caerwys near junction 34 of the A55, involving a Vauxhall combo van and two pedestrians.
Emergency services attended but one of the pedestrians, a local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman, who is also local, was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance with serious life-changing injuries.
She has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke.
The male driver of the van was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with what are believed to be minor injuries.
Sergeant Tony Gatley from North Wales police roads policing unit said: "I am appealing for anybody who may have been travelling in the area at round the time of the collision, or to anybody who may have seen two people walking along the B5122, to come forward.
"Officers from the collision investigation unit were called to the scene and the road was closed whilst the initial investigation took place. The road re-opened shortly before 8am."
