Elli Norkett death: A great friend, rugby team-mate says

Tributes have been paid to Wales rugby international Elli Norkett, who has died in a car crash.

The 20-year-old from Llandarcy, Neath, had been the youngest player in the 2014 Rugby World Cup at the age of 17.

She died in a two-car collision on the A4109 Inter Valley Road, between Banwen and Glynneath, at about 19:40 GMT on Saturday.

Miss Norkett was in her final year of a sport development degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University and planned to pursue a career in rugby coaching.

The Welsh Rugby Union said it was "deeply saddened to hear the tragic news", while her family described her as "kind-hearted and caring".

Fellow Wales international Siwan Lillicrap told Simon Davies of BBC Radio Wales Sport that the team had "lost a great friend".
