First all-Wales deputy chief constable is appointed

The first all-Wales deputy chief constable has been appointed, with the role aimed at helping all forces collaborate better.

Bob Evans will take up the position on 1 April.

His role will see him work with police and crime commissioners and chief constables from Gwent, South Wales, Dyfed-Powys and North Wales Police.

Mr Evans will also look at ways to work with other devolved and non-devolved public bodies.
