Pair plucked from Brecon Beacons waterfall plunge

A man and woman have been airlifted to safety after being seriously injured at a Brecon Beacons beauty spot.

Rescuers say the pair were washed over the top of a waterfall while on trails around Ystradfellte in Powys.

Teams from the Central Brecon Mountain Rescue were joined by firefighters and police in a four-hour operation.

The couple, believed to be in their 20s, were then airlifted to a waiting ambulance before being taken to hospital.

Their condition is unknown.
