Edward Thomas: Cardiff Uni centenary marks poet's death

Cardiff University is holding a three-day event to mark the centenary of the death of poet and novelist Edward Thomas.

The university holds the largest archive of Thomas' letters, diaries, notebooks, poems, photographs and personal belongings.

Some of these have been put on display as part of the event.

Prof Katie Gramich, who organised the conference, said while Thomas was born in England, his work was influenced by his Welsh connections and he felt "cheated of a Welsh identity".
