A fire at a house in Rhondda Cynon Taff has left a man dead and five homes uninhabitable.

The house on Gamlyn Terrace, Hirwaun, caught fire at about 03:00 GMT on Tuesday and caused 10 houses to be evacuated.

One man was taken to Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil, but died as a result of his injuries.
