An elderly couple found dead in a house in Denbighshire died as a result of asphyxiation, police have said.

The bodies of Joseph Howard Titterton, 80, and Jackie Titterton, 77, were found in the house on Bishops Walk in St Asaph at 08:30 GMT on Tuesday.

North Wales Police said it did not believe "there was any third party involvement".

Det Supt Iestyn Davies said the force would prepare a file for the coroner after its investigation had concluded.

"In the meantime we wish to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased at this difficult time," he added.
