Van driver killed in crash on A449 near Newport

The driver of a van has died following a crash on one of the main routes between south Wales and the Midlands.
The 64-year-old man from Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, was pronounced dead on the A449 between the M4 and Usk on Tuesday morning.
The crash at about 06:10 GMT closed the northbound carriageway for hours and caused congestion on the M4.
Police have asked drivers using the road between 06:00-06:15 to check any dash-cam footage they may have.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwent Police.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
