Barry Bennell sentencing: Matthew Monaghan describes "anger and guilt" at abuse

A man who was raped by paedophile football coach Barry Bennell has spoken of how his abuser "took away a lot of chances" from his life.

Matthew Monaghan, from Gwynedd, was raped by the ex-Crew Alexandra coach as a boy.

Bennell, 66, is serving a 30-year sentence for 52 child sex offences.

On Thursday he was jailed for four more years at Chester Crown Court for abusing Mr Monaghan and another boy in the 1970s and 1980s.

Mr Monaghan has waived his right to anonymity and told other victims "don't be ashamed" and to "speak to someone".
