Are angel sharks living in Welsh waters all year round?

Tests are being carried out to learn whether one of the world's rarest sharks is living in Welsh waters all year round.

Records and sightings suggest there are angel shark around the coast, but no one knows where, when, or how many.

The Angel Shark Project Wales will test for DNA at 10 locations over the next 12 months at Cardigan Bay.

The results could show whether Wales is a hotspot for the critically-endangered species.
