Lockdown: People travelling to Brecon Beacons turned away

Walkers have defended visiting the Brecon Beacons despite police turning people away because of a breach in lockdown rules.

In Wales, you can only travel if it is deemed "essential".

However, people from London and a minibus of mixed households from Cheltenham were just some of the vehicles turned away by police on Tuesday.

One couple from Pontypridd said that walking "is about the only real thing we can get out and do really".

Another woman said "It is important for your mental health, especially as the first lockdown was horrific".
