Cardigan's Christmas tree comes down - just 100 days late

A Christmas tree in a west Wales town is finally coming down - more than 100 days after the festive holiday ended.

Covid restrictions had already delayed the tree's removal in Cardigan, Ceredigion, when fears were raised that pigeons were nesting in its branches.

It would have been illegal to move wild bird nests, however, checks revealed the birds were only roosting in the tree.

The festive fir will now be removed over the weekend.
