Cardiff court appearance for man charged with 1980 rape

Roland Long appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Friday morning
A man has appeared in court charged with the rape of a woman 40 years ago.
Roland Long, 67, of Nailsea in North Somerset, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court accused of raping a woman in Cardiff in August 1980.
He spoke only to confirm his name and address.
Mr Long is set to appear at Cardiff Crown Court in September after being granted unconditional bail.
