A 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man at a property in Vale of Glamorgan.

South Wales Police said officers were called to an address at West Walk, Barry, at about 01:00 BST on Friday.

A man, who has not yet been formally identified, died at the scene.

Det Supt Darren George said there would be a considerable police presence in the area as investigations continued over the next few days.

He urged anyone in the community who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, between Monday evening and the early hours of Friday morning, to contact the force.

"No matter how insignificant you believe any information may be, please contact the major incident room," he said.
