Patients being moved away from emergency departments

Ambulance staff are directing patients away from accident and emergency departments where possible.

"The landscape in healthcare has changed. Certainly Covid has accelerated our thinking," said Penny Durrant of the Welsh Ambulance Service.

Ms Durrant said assigning appropriate care is preferable "rather than everyone going to hospital".
