Cardiff: Woman dies after being hit by bus in city centre

A 63-year-old woman has died after being hit by a bus in Cardiff city centre.
The woman, from Adamsdown, Cardiff, was treated by ambulance staff but was declared dead at the scene.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the incident at the junction of Dumfries Place and Queen Street, one of the city's busiest shopping areas.
South Wales Police are investigating the incident, which happened just before midday on Saturday.
It occurred just outside the Queen Street Sainsbury's store, and the road was closed for several hours while the incident was investigated.
Sgt Craig Wood said: "We want to thank those members of the public who assisted us at the scene and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
"The road was closed for several hours while we investigated the collision and I want to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during this time."
