Briton Ferry: One in hospital following crash which closed roads

Multiple roads were shut to prevent access to Briton Ferry bridge, Neath Port Talbot following the crash

Roads have been reopened in Briton Ferry after one person was taken to hospital following a serious crash.

Briton Ferry bridge, in Neath Port Talbot, was closed in both directions following the crash at about 16:00 BST.

An ambulance and air ambulance attended, and one patient was driven to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

Roads, including junction 42 of the M4 eastbound, were all closed but were reopened at around 22:30, Traffic Wales South said in a tweet.

Earlier, South Wales Police has advised motorists to avoid the area.
