Port Talbot: Man in hospital after serious assault

Police were called to Victoria Road and Princess Margaret Way in Sandfields, Port Talbot

A man has been taken to hospital after police were called to a report of a serious assault.

South Wales Police said officers were called to Victoria Road and Princess Margaret Way in Sandfields, Port Talbot, at about 18.45 BST on Saturday.

The force said a man was arrested in connection with the attack.

The road was closed but has since reopened. Inquiries are ongoing.
